1. Using this site

These terms cover ghostsandbox.com, run by AdamsLocal LLC ("we" or "us"). By using the site or downloading from it, you agree to them. Everything here is free: there is nothing to buy and no account to make.

Our Privacy Notice explains the little information we handle. If you and we sign a separate written agreement, it wins where the two disagree.

2. What GhostSandbox is

GhostSandbox is an artist-directed, deterministic procedural system: a program that draws wave patterns from math. Each pattern comes from one number, called a seed, and the same seed always makes the same pattern. Exact pixels can still vary a little between screens, browsers, and devices.

It is not a generative-AI model, and it does not make pictures from prompts. It is not a blockchain asset, an NFT, or a token of any kind.

The experiments are for learning and fun. They are not scientific instruments, and they are not medical or therapeutic advice. Sound plays only when you turn it on; keep the volume comfortable, and stop if anything feels off.

3. What you can do with the downloads

The images and wallpaper packs in the gallery are free for personal use. You may:

• use them as wallpapers on your own phone, tablet, or computer;
• share them on your personal social profiles; and
• print them for yourself.

Please ask first, at adam@adamslocal.net, before you:

• use them for a business, brand, client, product, or paid campaign;
• sell or redistribute them, or offer them as stock, templates, or assets; or
• put a pattern, still or moving, on a website or in an app.

You may not:

• use the images, the site, or its output to train or test an AI model;
• turn them into NFTs or other tokens;
• copy, reverse engineer, or rebuild the software behind the patterns; or
• remove the Φ mark or claim you made them.

What stays ours, and what belongs to everyone

The software, the site's design, and the Φ mark belong to AdamsLocal. Downloading an image gives you your copy of that file, not the rights to the program behind it.

The science belongs to everyone. No one owns a number, a formula, or the way sand settles on a vibrating plate.

4. Help

If a download is broken, missing, or doesn't match its description, email us and we will send a working copy.

5. The fine print

We may change, improve, or retire any part of the site, including the experiments, at any time.

The site and downloads are provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, AdamsLocal disclaims implied warranties, is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, and limits its total liability as far as the law permits. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive.

California law governs these terms, except where the mandatory law of the place you live applies.

6. Changes and contact

We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date.
